Message from our Principal
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year at Colton High School. Our goal is to provide your child a happy and engaging experience at Colton High School as they prepare for college and workforce.
For your convenience, we have identified the forms which need to be filled out and returned to school with your students on registration day in order for them to receive their tentative schedule:
- Computer user agreement
- Parent education level form
- Emergency card
- Colton High School parent compact – please turn this form as you pick up your schedule; available on the website and in the packet of information given to you
- Volunteer form (optional) – please turn this form as you pick up your schedule; available on the website and in the packet of information given to you
While these blank forms will be available for parents/guardians to complete during registration time, bringing the forms already filled out will make the process that day take much less time for your family and the other families who attend.
Students who do not pick up materials on the days before school starts must bring their forms the first day of school. Students will pick up their schedules from tables set up in front of the library.
We have scheduled Registration Day before school begins so that students may pick up their textbooks and schedules, purchase PE clothes and view the campus. PE clothes will cost $27 ($15 for shorts and $12 for the shirt). Students who do not wish to purchase PE clothes may instead wear black athletic PE shorts and a white or gray t-shirt during PE. Students may purchase a discount (formerly known as ASB) card for $30. This discount card will reduce the cost of admission prices to events throughout the year. We are offering a sale for a short time at the start of the school year for families who wish to save money; students may purchase the yearbook and discount card together for the low cost of $100. This is a savings as purchasing the yearbook alone will cost $90.
Incoming ninth grade records and information have rolled over from Colton Middle School. However, inter-district, overflow or intra-district transfer students should have completed the appropriate transfer forms in March and April through the Student Services Division. Please contact their office at (909) 580-6558 to verify approval if you have already submitted paperwork.
Please plan on attending our Back to School Night on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Additionally, we will hold parent informational nights for each grade level to help prepare family members for the upcoming school year. Information will be presented in English and Spanish.
